Behavioral Interventions in Autism

There are several behavioral models that are used to treat autism. Applied Behavioral Analysis in various forms is the most often used and has the longest track record of being effective. I really like the SCERTS model, which has only recently been developed. Its recommendations parallel many that I have developed, as it very much integrates a model of helping the child to cope with the external world as a way of maintaining a child that is capable of progress.
